FYI: The game warns you about this if you switch to full screen, but it happens even if you don't: the game runs faster than it's supposed to if you have a high hz or a g-sync monitor.
You need to use RTSS to limit the framerate. The exe of the game is located at:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp\IXP000.TMP
but only when the game is running. The IXP folder doesn't exist if you don't launch the game.
On floor 56 (150m), blood can be found dripping from the ceiling. This blood can actually drip onto the camera with effects. Why this is necessary is unknown.
Reposting my comment from my rating: Although this is clearly an adaptation, I'm surprised how mostly faithful this game is to the original article. As well as your own interpretation of Exploration IV.
This was the most intense stair descent ever! I had a great time playing this as I was tense the whole time lol. I put the link to this game in a Discord server for creators that I'm in!
Hello. I tried this and I liked it. It was not cheaply loud or anything which I appreciate very much. I was just curious of there would be a possibility to make it a bit more eerie. Since nothing really stopped me from just moving forward. Also maybe slow down the text a little cause I am not the best at reading. Still if people are interested in my video It's here.
That's a little confusing. Do you mean you're making your own 087 fan game, or you are remaking a copy of my version and just putting it in Unreal Engine?
I would love to see new SCP-087 fan games, but if you just take my version and copy the same events, text and scares that happen, I probably wouldn't be cool with that, no. Not like I could stop you though.

This game starts at the 11:37 mark :) I love all SCP games, but even if I lacked such a bias, I'd still see this as an innovative game, haha. The idea of consistently going into dark locations, the part of horror games that creates a surmountable amount of fear, was so clever!
I loved the game, really cool take on the SCP-087, i had the same feeling as in the first SCP 087 version, but this is even better as you added lots of details on the camera and in the ending. I am looking foward to your next games.
GREAT GAME. Personally I love horror games and I found this one a Masterpiece, a hidden gem. I kind of thought quitting about halfway trough since I really don't like stairs I found this terrifying, but I did end it and loved it. Great work GHST, hope you make another great game like this soon!
This was amazing! I like a lot of games on here, but I really enjoyed this one. It makes me want a series of games just like it, exploring different SCP in this style.
It was fun, scary, and did exactly what it needed to do to tell the story. Definitely check it out! Then my video ;)
REALLY enjoyed playing this! The sound design is genius and completely adds to the atmosphere. I was shaky and sweaty the whole time, thank you for this awesome game!
Awesome game! The sound design is horrifying and the style of the game is unique. The story was interesting and made me want to keep going deeper! Amazing 10/10
Honestly, so good! Loved the sounds, the scares, the look of everything, all of it was great! Love the bits of information you got as you went deeper, it really added to the scares and experience!
Solid build-up and awesome sound design, Also really enjoy the text telling you about the things encountered in SCP-087 before you actually hear/see the anomalies, it does a great job at building tension.
Great horror game. I like how it got scarier the further you descended. Please like my video and or share it subscribe or whatever if you like my video. Thanks!
I love the SCP creatures and files so it's nice to see that SCP-087 has gotten a new game. This was really spooky and genuinely creeped me out but it was awesome. Sound design was amazing too which added to the overall atmosphere. Great job!
Finally, I've been waiting for a new SCP-087 game for so long, I was going to make it myself but I dont think it would have been any where as good as this one was. SCP-087 is one of my favorite SCP's, and I tend to think back to the days when I first came across the SCP foundation website and started reading. SCP-087 seemed to have stuck with me and I would imagine how creepy it would be to go down this godforsaken stairwell.
I took this opportunity to rp this very scenario in this video. I rp as if I'm in the stairwell going down. It's definitely a little cringey but because of the subject matter I was able to really open up my commentary more ( I normally do no commentary).
Feedback:
I would have to say over all I really liked this experience if it wasn't obvious already. I turned the gamma down to make it alot more creepy. I really like the atmosphere and it progresses ok, there isnt alot of empty space like in a couple SCP-087 games.
I have nothing negative to say this is great would recommend. GG's

You did a remarkable job in making this. Hope you develop more games!

I had to play this! Amazing game!
the best scp 087 game!
Жутковато, пожалуй это одна из самых интересных реализаций объекта SCP-087.(In short translate: i like this realization of this SCP object)
Here is my youtube video playing it

What engine?
Gamemaker Studio 1.4.
I am trying to remake your game in Unreal Engine 4 and wondering if you are okay with that? I will link your game when I post it.

was planning on making my own scares and stuff not like a copy that would be kinda crappy to do
Then you don't gotta ask me for permission! I don't own SCP-087 at all. This game itself is a fan game. Good luck with the project! :}
This looks great

Incredible experience!!, the dark atmosphere is great, the mechanics that explain the scp story are cool.
